To prolong the pleasure of your screenings, the Lumière 2018 line-up is obviously in the spotlight, from Jane Fonda and Henri Decoin to the burlesque flicks of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, or King Hu’s Asian cinema… Discover the rich selection of books on honored personalities this year, be they actors or filmmakers.

From the United States of Jane Fonda, her father Henry or Richard Thorpe... to the Europe of Henri Decoin, Jean-Luc Godard or Muriel Box, without forgetting Asia, Italy, Sweden and many others, the bookshop offers a true panorama of world cinema through biographies, graphic novels and critical analyses.

For those who like reading about movies as much as watching them, a special section proposes literary works adapted to the big screen featured at Lumière 2018: The Grapes of Wrath, No Country for Old Men, Nana, They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?, La Passante du Sans-Souci... find all the key authors at the village.

A selection of film magazines allows you to immerse yourself in the latest news of cinemas and movie passion: Positif, Cahiers du cinéma, Jeune Cinéma, La Septième Obsession, Revus & corrigés... You can also check out back issues of Positif to review thematic topics of the cinephile magazine from Lyon.

A special showcase features new works and coffee-table books, from well-known classics to more obscure publications. And like every year, discoveries and surprises await you!
