The Kid, Charlie Chaplin’s first feature film, which introduced audiences to young Jackie Coogan (nicknamed "the most famous boy in America"), opened to resounding success. Considered today as one of the finest films in the history of silent cinema, it was recently designated by the prestigious British Film Institute as one of fi y films to see before age fourteen.

On the giant screen at the Halle Tony Garnier, The Kid will be screened in a beautiful restored print and accompanied on stage by Dutch pianist Maud Nelissen, who has created a new composition, adapted from and inspired by the score by Charlie Chaplin. The music will be featured as a worldwide premiere.
