New restorations

A selection of the restorations of the year with a focus on French cinema: a rediscovery of works by Pierre Granier-Deferre, Robert Enrico, Jacques Rouffio and René Féret. American movies are also in the spotlight, with Anthony Mann's Winchester ‘73 or Edgar G. Ulmer's Detour, without forgetting Vittorio De Sica’s classic, Bicycle Thieves.


Flight into Darkness by Anatole Litvak (L’Equipage, 1935, 1h51)
1918. Jean Herbillon, an aviator, falls in love with Denise, but must soon return to the front... A superb adaptation of Joseph Kessel's novel, led by actors Charles Vanel, Annabella and Jean Murat.
